ok-if you understood the subject line, chances are you're in the right place!
i'm looking to start a Contact Juggling meetup in Tucson or PHX and was hoping some burner folks would be interested. if you are unfamiliar with CJ check out this video of one of my tribe friends Dawn-she's awesome!
youtube.com/watch
i've been practicing for a few months and have some basic moves down, but am looking to meet some more experienced CJ'ers to broaden my horizons. I live about 2 hours from Tucson and 3 hours from PHX so i would be limited to a bi-weekly or monthly meetup, but i would love the chance to help organize a tight knit community in support of this incredible art form.
if you know nothing of CJing or are a complete novice, feel free to contact me! i am closer to being a novice than an expert myself so i welcome the opportunity to teach what little i know...you will likely teach me something as well so i whole-heartedly encourage it :) in addition to my limited insights, i can also let beginners borrow a couple DVD's i have to get them started as well. thanks in advance for your time-hope to talk to you soon!
be well
David

Re: ISO AZ CJ Burners for meetup
Tue, April 29, 2008 - 6:55 AMWe have some contact jugglers that come to our practices in phoenix, and one of the best ones here is Chase Archer.
Currently, our practices are on hold until after TOAST the regional burn, but will be starting up again soon.
The gatherings are once a week and consist of fire performance, juggling, glow work, and dance. all good people who are talented and willing to learn. I'll keep you posted on when they will be starting again and as to the location. Cool?
Yardz, clear.

Tue, April 29, 2008 - 7:58 AMi was blown away when i first saw staff and CJ together....
for how different the two objects are (staff and ball) , the artist merged the two worlds seamlessly!
i definitely respect it!
be well friend :)
